Oscar Polli began his off-road racing career in 1982 by participating in the 125 cc Lombardy regional motocross championship.

In the following years, he participated in the various 125cc and 250cc championships, placing fourth in the Lombardy regional championship in 1988. He then moved on to the Italian motocross championships, placing in the top 10 overall in the 125/250 class. He participated in the Italian Sand Cross Championship (Supermarecross) for three years, always placing in the top ten.

In 1992 he participated in his first international rallies, the “Rally di Sardegna“, the “Transitalia” and the “Rally dell’Elba” and took part in the Italian Motorally Championship, winning the championship in 1995 with Team Freeracing. In 1995 he took part in the Senior Enduro Championship, finishing fourth in the 500 class, before finally arriving at the African marathons such as the Rally Tunisia, the Rally of the Pharaohs, and the Dakar, which saw him among the protagonists in 1998, 1999 and 2006.

To date, Oscar has competed in over 120 races around the world, making him one of the most experienced international motorbike racers.

RALLY RAID WORLD CHAMPION 2008

In the 2008 season, in his eighth participation in the World Rally Raid Bike Championship, after four podiums in the previous years, Oscar Polli won the overall title with the KTM 650 replica, beating riders of the calibre of Marc Coma, Cyril Despres and Carlo de Gavardo, bringing the world title back to Italy after Fabrizio Meoni’s victory in 2000.
It is mainly thanks to his driving speed and road-book reading skills that Oscar manages to score the points needed to become the World Champion.

AFRICA ECO RACE

In his first participation, Oscar Polli won the fourth edition of the Sonangol Africa Eco Race, the African marathon that follows the original Dakar route and takes its inspiration from the spirit of the rally invented by Thierry Sabine. Riding his KTM 690, Oscar Polli won over the Frenchmen Norbert Dubois and Xavier Moureau at the end of twelve stages (one cancelled due to a sandstorm) that were very demanding, but at the same time laid out on a particularly impressive course by René Metge. Starting from Saint Cyprien, France, on 26 December, the Africa Eco Race ended on 8 January after having crossed France, Spain, Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal and contested the last Special on the shores of the mythical Lake Rosa. Africa Eco Race is the first Rally that is committed to a strongly eco-responsible attitude, striving to keep environmental impact and emissions to a minimum, and making a contribution to education and social action in the countries it passes through.

WORLD RALLY RAID CHAMPION 2008, WINNER OF THE AFRICA ECO RACE 2012 AND ITALIAN GOLD MEDAL FOR ATHLETIC VALOUR, HE HAS PARTICIPATED IN VARIOUS AFRICAN MARATHONS SUCH AS THE DAKAR, THE TUNISIA RALLY, THE PHARAOHS RALLY…
